After our morning run (with Rocco today - yay!) we were only 2% worn out, so while dad worked around the house, we ran and ran and chased each other around the yard ALL DAY. Ryder rolled around in lots of dirt to show mom that she didn't like her bath yesterday. Then the sun came out and we were both suddenly overcome with exhaustion. The mulch bed made the perfect place for a midday nap in the warm sunshine.
So Ryder got the bed first. Indy sat directly in front of her, as is his trademark style now, and whined and whined because he wanted some of that bed too. So eventually dad came over and helped Ryder scoot to the side. Indy wasted no time at all snuggling up under there and staking out his half of the one-dog sized bed. They napped this way for a few hours!
Mmmmmm, a warm snuggly pile of ridgeback under the blanket.....so cute!
Mom was doing a ton of laundry today getting ready for some guests. She put a load down on the floor so she could sit and start folding it. She left the room for a minute and when she got back, Ryder had decided to start helping her out.
So a few days after the big ice storm, dad took us out hiking. There was still some ice in the woods and Indy managed to cut his foot pretty bad and he had to go to the vet for some liquid stitches and to get his foot wrapped. Mom was smart and stuck one of my winter running shoes on him so he wouldn't eat off the wrapping.
Over the last 1 week 1/2 dad has had to clean and re-wrap Indy's foot a couple of times to make sure it continues to heal. The easiest way for dad to do it, is to put Indy on his back in his lap..well as you can see, by the time dad is done cleaning and re-wrapping his foot, Indy is very distraught. So much so that he has completely fallen asleep!
Mom and Dad keep using new words around us... like pregnant, baby, sonogram. Not sure exactly what they are talking about, but the other day dad brought home a present for mom. Whoo hoo... if new things like this keep coming in, I'm all about it. I love this new pillow!

Hannah made me sit in and take notes in all these boring meetings today. So
I'm staging a desk-in and not moving till I get a walk.
